This is a real life photo of a TSA inspection. Just exactly how far into this passenger’s pants does this inspector feels he needs to go in order to find a supposed explosive device?

The day before Thanksgiving – aka the busiest travel day of the entire calendar year – the TSA turned off naked body scanners and aggressive pat downs (known by some as “feel ups”) under the weight of an anticipated nationwide grassroots surge of protests (read here).

Let’s think about this for a moment. Anyone of average intelligence or above, regardless of their stance on the “necessity” of this process, can surely see the staggering hypocrisy in this decision. This is a classic case of having your cake and eating it. If the general public is truly so vulnerable as the TSA claims and we are constant targets for terrorizing on- slaughts, then surely the odds of an attack would have been at its pinnacle on Wednesday when more travelers are in the airports than on any other day and would have been a reason to keep these scans and pat downs in tact. Right? 

But this move proves a point better than any critic can. That the old-fashioned metal detectors and baggage X-rays are more than adequate and that this is just another money-making, public-controlling scheme. Of course, you and I had better not dare mention this lest we be added to a “domestic terrorist” list, another name for a head count of those who dare dissent the expansion of government and its meddling in private lives (read here). There are also some medical experts who are now stating that this is a bio hazard that could even become an epidemic with greater consequences and greater odds of occurring than a traveler’s chances of getting blown up (view here)! According to some reports, these inspectors don’t change gloves from one person to the next, leaving you and me vulnerable to all kinds of things, like venereal disease, for example. Yet, we had better not publicly complain or it could be hazardous to our health.

Oh, and for those of you who seldom, if ever, travel internationally and have already decided to use other forms of transportation, you may be able to run, but likely can not hide (read here). Even though it’s still conjecture at this point, the fact of the matter is that Janet Napolitano is already talking about the possibility of expanding security measures to other forms of transportation. And based on what is happening so far, is there really any reason to doubt that it could or even will happen? Can anyone say “highway checkpoints” for private cars some day not far in the future?

It would all be in the name of “counter terrorism”, of course.

It appears that the dodos in our government are slowly but surely forcing the sovereign American individual to….well….become extinct.

In Canada (Montreal specifically), they apparently are afraid to ask these women to pull back their veils on the fear of being guilty of political correctness, even for security reasons. While the rest of us are undergoing terrifically humiliating interrogations such as naked body scanners or feel-ups, these women can apparently skate from the parking lot through the concourse and straight to their departure gate. (Read here) What’s even more astonishing is that, according to Ihsaan Gardee, executive director of Cair-Can (Council on American-Islamic Relations, Canada),

“Women who wear the niqab are not constrained by the religious belief from removing their veil for legitimate reasons, and security is one of them.”

This apparently means that there is no need to be concerned about a political correctness infraction (not that I think there is a need to be concerned regardless) due to the fact that it doesn’t violate the Muslim religion. Yet, here we are again faced with a situation where we, the initial victims, are being victimized further for reasons that we never gave. Whether or not your view is that the Muslims were responsible for 9/11 or not (as well as other international attacks) is irrelevant. If there are people who are using airports for transportation in North America, they should all adhere to the same rules. Anything less simply comes across as overcompensation in the sense that someone is so afraid to offend, that they give unfair treatment, but with the pendulum having swung far to the other side.

I could almost guarantee that if I tried to bypass airport security while wearing a ski mask or a tied bandanna around the lower half of my face, even if I were proclaiming that it was for religious purposes….well….you can surely guess what would happen next.

I can’t help to wonder what will take place if/when the airline companies start to file bankruptcy one after the other as a result of booking fewer and fewer travelers. Will Homeland Security suddenly and miraculously find a need to not be so stringent? Or will the government simply just make a way to unconstitutionally bail out the airlines at these same travelers’ expense?

Whatever might happen, the whole thing is entirely outrageous!

Charles Rangel (D-Harlem, NY) has been found guilty of 11 of 13 charges of ethics violations. These include such infractions as:

“soliciting donations from people with business before his committee to fund a center named in his honor at City College of New York, not paying taxes on a Caribbean home, improperly using a rent-stabilized apartment in New York as a campaign office, and not properly disclosing more than $600,000 in income and assets.” (1)

To add injury to insult, he also walked out of his hearing on Monday claiming that he didn’t have the adequate funds to pay his attorneys due to the fact that he had already spent approximately $2M in legal fees.

However, neither of these is a surprise. The outrageous part is that the same board has resumed closed door dialogue and it is likely that he won’t get expelled. Again, a great example by those in charge that seriously wrong behavior often only gets a slap on the wrist. Not only should he be losing his job, but should be going to jail. Of course, that would mean that some of the prisoners on death row would be taken out of solitary confinement and transferred to an equally agonizing place. The same cell as Rangel whose annoying voice and arrogant attitude would surely have his cell mates begging for a hasty lethal injection.

No, instead of using a perfect time to drive home a point to the we’re-tired-of-you-get-out-of-here politician that years of wrongdoing – particularly by a high profile public figure – will not be tolerated, it appears that Rangel will simply have to endure a few weeks of tortuous media embarrassment and then will be able to return to the safe confines of his Harlem anything-goes supporters. However, be certain that if you or I committed similar crimes, we could surely expect different results.

I suppose that is an inevitable irony. Lawmakers living above the laws that they write into existence.

This was too good to pass up.

In Britain, scientists are improving ways to monitor and genetically alter embryos (read it here). Sure, they are making it sound like a “breakthrough” for the good of humanity’s riddance of diseases or bad genetic conditions. But of course, we here at Outrage Today can read between the lines.

We have already seen the results of when people play God. Some of you were alive when it was happening in Europe with the Nazis and we are seeing it today from such organizations like Planned Parenthood who, despite working under the guise of ‘women’s health services’, actually have a much more sinister beginning. Margaret Sanger (a well-known buddy of the Fuhrer himself) was a staunch supporter of Eugenics (read here). Mainly because it was meant by many participants as a method of racial hygiene (here) and/or extermination of ”undesired” population groups (here). It is well known that Ms Sanger’s main goal was to significantly reduce (if not totally eliminate) racial minority groups, particularly blacks.

Now we have a group of “scientists” who claim to have the ability to alter and/or deter- mine a human’s genetic makeup before they are born. If this door remains open, who knows what can happen? Though they claim it is a technique to fight disease, etc., since they are apparently in the midst of “perfecting” this process, where would it end?

Just humor me here for a moment and put your science “fiction” cap on for a minute. Could it eventually mean if a mini-maniacal tyrant got ahold of the technology, that his scientists would construct an army of clones to accomplish a future conquest? Could it mean that a certain Iranian leader, for example, would have the ability to substantially outnumber his Israeli enemy and, consequently, increase his odds (so he would think) in a battle?

“That’s ridiculous, fear-mongering rubbish!”

Perhaps. But if they are now able to genetically assemble a pre-born baby and we already know that some forms of cloning have been successful, what is their ultimate goal? Please don’t tell me that controlling disease and birth defects is the only objective. Since God is apparently erroneous in their eyes, with all of the “less than perfect” people who are born every day, they would have the ability to “fix it”. If you think that what I am saying is beyond the realm of possibility, just read Nietzsche some time and his ideal human specimen, the “Ubermensch” (super man). An ideal that was embraced by Hitler who was also a big fan of Eugenetics like Sanger.

When someone thinks they are as a god, it is eventually revealed that they are a mere human. Unfortunately there is often a lot of collateral damage in the process.

Listen, I know that times are tough. Many have had to resort to food stamps and other humbling but necessary benefits. But there is a lady in Daytona Beach, Florida, who really takes the cake.

Patty Bigbee, 45, and her 42-year old boyfriend, were arrested last Friday for illegal sale or surrender of a child. They were busted after a month long sting by an agent posing as a buyer. The price was said to be $30,000 after Bigbee had been talked down from her initial asking price of $75,000. This poor kid’s mother is already in jail for unrelated offenses and now has been turned over to child welfare officials.

I realize it is difficult to find any humor in the above outrageous story. So let’s think about this for a moment. Have the economic conditions truly become so dire that people really feel the need to sell their offspring (or offspring’s offspring) to anonymous buyers? Is this a new abortion or surrogate mother option? Are women going to start avoiding abortions not because they care about their babies, but because they have new found dollar signs in their clouded eyes? I am not getting carried away, this is just conjecture. And I realize that this is an isolated case. But I can’t help to wonder what the future holds months or years from now as desperation reaches new heights (or new depths, depending on how you look at it) and people, for the sake of survival in their view, will evolve. Will they stay on the straight and narrow and come together to find new, innovative ways to weather this financial storm? Or, like this woman, will many degenerate into mere beasts who are only as sophisticated as their stomach or drug need is satisfied?

Humankind have made great achievements over the millenia. We have also done some unfathomable things as well. I can only hope that we choose the high road and don’t dwindle to a level appointed to animals. Not that most animals would even do such a thing.

Only time will tell.

This site’s founder – J Byron Swain – has taken a hiatus due to legitimate, unavoidable circumstances. Though I have been his partner from Day One (check out some March and April posts), he has been doing most of the grunt work on his own and should be commended. He has built Outrage Today from the ground up (with a little help from his friends) and has injected it’s serious humor into cyberspace. I am sure you have found his articles funny as well as sobering, quite often.

Recently, he contacted me to ask if I would accept the baton. First, I was reluctant due to the fact that I wasn’t sure if my schedule could handle the load. After thinking about it for a while, however, I have agreed to the task. It’s not exactly like I’m starting from scratch, but I needed to make sure that I could give Outrage Today its due justice.

I am looking forward to continuing this journey with all of you who faithfully follow this site, as well as some occasional visitors and all of you newbies. I am sure you won’t be disappointed and the most important thing is that Mr Byron Swain will still be contributing from time to time, for those of you who can’t stay off the wagon too long!

So roll up your sleeves, grab a beverage, and be prepared to be really ticked off!

An Anglican congregation in Kent has become the first to take up the Pope’s offer to leave the Church of England to convert to Catholicism.
The Pope has created a special enclave in the Roman Catholic Church for Anglicans unhappy with their church’s decision to let women become bishops.

Last October, Pope Benedict made his controversial offer of a place in the Roman Catholic Church for Anglicans that would let them retain some of their practices and traditions.

Immigration cases being tossed by the hundreds

In the month after Homeland Security officials started a review of Houston’s immigration court docket, immigration judges dismissed more than 200 cases, an increase of more than 700 percent from the prior month, new data shows.

To qualify for dismissal, defendants also must have no felony record or any misdemeanor convictions involving DWI, sex crimes or domestic violence, he said.

So these illegal aliens were arrested for being in our country illegally. Their crime was ignoring our law, skipping to the front of the line where law abiding citizens of other countries wait for years and years, permits, forms and a yearning to be free. To hell with them and we don’t care about “your” stinking laws, we’re coming and we will work illegally, live illegally and we don’t care.

New York City Loses Tax War Against Foreign Nations

NEW YORK (AP) – India and other nations with diplomatic housing do not have to pay city property taxes, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday in a long-running dispute that once reached the Supreme Court.
The decision by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan handed a victory to the governments of India and Mongolia, which had fought the city’s demands that they pay tens of millions of dollars in taxes for their Manhattan embassy buildings.
The three-judge panel said the State Department acted within its power in June 2009 when it established an exemption from taxes on property owned by foreign governments and used to house staff for permanent missions to the United Nations, the Organization of American States or consular posts.

While New York is taxing it’s citizens out of the state with outrageous taxes on personal and business properties, the leaches of American tax dollars around the world are given continued access to the citizen savings bank. That will be helpful to them in funding their US flag burning parties at home.

Front page news, constant radio and TV chatter over the huge Movie Hit Jack-Ass 3D!

When all is said and done, another blockbuster aimed directly at the MTV audience. Don’t let the R-Rating fool you, this movie was made for 9-17 year olds. Yeah the same group restricted from seeing, unless accompanied by a parent who could care less about the morale compass of their child.

I was so surprised at the wide acceptance of morale corruption. Case in point, “The Cultural Crusader” Michael Medved, usually a staunch supporter of family and foe of corruption aimed at children, started out panning the movie, but was goaded into what must be seen as a 5 star review after callers kept speaking of the great hilarity of their Penis waving and constant ass exposing stunts.

He seemed especially found of the cast member who graphically inserted a toy car up his backside, and then went in for X-Rays. Many cannot wait to take their children to see a movie revolving around such antics.

Listen, I love too laugh, but not as much as I hate to see once innocent kids corrupted by flagrant male exposure, for shock, and perverted sexual humor, for a chuckle.

Somebodies Baby

History shows that pornography found it’s way into mainstream through humor, drugs through music, both aimed squarely at the youth, the next generation. I find this movie to be yet another tragedy, hidden within a comedy.
